Job summary

PSA Renewables Powered by Purshotam Profiles Pvt Ltd is seeking a Site Quality Engineer for PM-KUSUM solar projects. The role involves on-site inspections, QA/QC, and close coordination with EPC contractors to ensure compliance with technical specs, IS/IEC standards, and MNRE guidelines.

We expect 2–6 years of relevant experience, familiarity with ground-mounted 5–10 MW solar installations, and the ability to travel between project sites.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical / Civil / Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–6 years in solar or infrastructure projects.
• Ground-mounted solar projects (5–10 MW range) preferred.
• Familiarity with PM-KUSUM or government solar projects is an advantage.
• Knowledge of solar plant components (modules, inverters, MMS) and QA/QC procedures.

Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance & Control: implement PQP and ITPs, ensure MNRE & client spec compliance.
• Civil & Structural Quality Checks: inspect concrete works, alignment, verticality, torque, test reports.
• Mechanical & Module Installation: verify mounting, handling, storage, installation, torque, and alignment.
• Electrical Quality Control: inspect DC/AC cabling, earthing, testing (IR, continuity, string tests).
• Documentation & Reporting: maintain inspection records, MIR, NCRs, daily/weekly reports; coordinate with EPC/subcontractors.
• Compliance & Audits: ensure IS/IEC standards compliance; participate in audits.

Job Title: Site Quality Engineer – Solar (PM-KUSUM Project)

Project Type: Ground-mounted Solar PV (≈ 7 MW per site)

Role Overview

The Site Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all construction and installation activities for the solar plant comply with approved quality standards, technical specifications, and regulatory requirements under the PM-KUSUM scheme. The role involves on-site inspections, documentation, testing, and coordination with contractors and project stakeholders.

Extensive Travelling Included.

Key Responsibilities-

1. Quality Assurance & Control

• Implement the Project Quality Plan (PQP) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
• Ensure compliance with MNRE guidelines and client specifications under the PM-KUSUM scheme.
• Conduct stage-wise inspections of civil, structural, and electrical works.

2. Civil & Structural Quality Checks

• Inspect:
• Concrete works (if applicable)
• Alignment, verticality, and torque of structures
• Verify material quality (cement, aggregates, steel) and test reports.

3. Mechanical & Module Installation

• Check module mounting as per approved drawings.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and installation of PV modules.
• Verify torque tightening, module alignment, and clamp positioning.

4. Electrical Quality Control

• Inspect DC and AC cabling, cable laying, and termination.
• Ensure proper earthing and lightning protection system installation.
• Witness testing of:
• Insulation resistance (IR)
• Continuity tests
• String testing and polarity checks

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain:
• Inspection reports
• Material inspection records (MIR)
• Test reports and checklists
• Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure corrective actions.
• Prepare daily/weekly quality reports.
• Coordinate with EPC contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure all work is executed as per approved drawings and specifications.
• Support site team in resolving quality-related issues.

7. Compliance & Audits

• Ensure compliance with:
• IS standards
• IEC standards (for solar)
• Safety and quality norms
• Participate in internal and external audits.

Key Skills & Requirements -

Educational Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical / Civil / Mechanical Engineering

Experience

• 2–6 years in solar or infrastructure projects
• Experience in ground-mounted solar projects (5–10 MW range) preferred
• Familiarity with PM-KUSUM or government solar projects is an advantage

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of solar plant components (modules, inverters, MMS)
