Behari Lal Engineering seeks a seasoned Quality Engineer to develop and maintain PFMEA, Control Plans, and Process Flow Diagrams. You will prepare PPAP packages, ensure IATF 16949 and CSR compliance, and coordinate cross-functional teams for quality documentation.

You will investigate deviations, lead CAPA, and drive SPC-based improvements while supporting new product introductions and change management.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's in Mechanical/Production/Industrial/Automobile engineering.
• 25 years of experience in Quality Engineering, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and Control Plans in automotive/manufacturing.
• Hands-on with PFMEA, Control Plans, PFMEA alignment with CFMs and CSR requirements.

Responsabilités

• Develop, review, and maintain PFMEA, Control Plans, and Process Flow Diagrams per IATF 16949 and CSR.
• Prepare PPAP documentation including PSW, reports, MSA, SPC, FMEA, and control plans.
• Ensure compliance with AIAG guidelines and customer requirements (CSR).
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Process Engineering, and Supplier Quality teams for quality docs.
• Identify process failures, assess risks (Severity/Occurrence/Detection), and implement CAPA actions.
• Establish process controls, inspection methods, sampling frequencies, and acceptance criteria.
• Conduct PFMEA reviews to ensure PFMEA, CFMs and Control Plans align.
• Support new product/process development and Engineering Change Management.
• Monitor SPC metrics (Cp, Cpk, Pp, Ppk) and drive process improvements.
• Handle customer and internal audits, PPAP queries, and investigations (5 Why, Fishbone, 8D).
• Close out corrective actions and maintain quality system documentation.
• Review docs after process changes and non-conformities.

Role & responsibilities

• Develop, review, and maintain Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Control Plans, and Process Flow Diagrams as per customer-specific requirements and IATF 16949 standards.
• Prepare and submit PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) documentation, including PSW, dimensional inspection reports, material test reports, process capability studies, MSA, SPC, FMEA, and Control Plans.
• Ensure compliance with AIAG guidelines, IATF 16949 requirements, and customer-specific requirements (CSR).
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Process Engineering, and Supplier Quality teams for preparation and implementation of quality documents.
• Identify potential process failures, evaluate risk using Severity, Occurrence, and Detection ratings, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Establish and update process controls, inspection methods, sampling frequencies, reaction plans, and acceptance criteria.
• Conduct PFMEA reviews and ensure alignment between Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
• Support new product development, new process development, product launches, and Engineering Change Management.
• Monitor process performance using SPC, Cp, Cpk, Pp, and Ppk studies, and drive process improvement activities.
• Handle customer audits, internal audits, process audits, and PPAP-related customer queries.
• Investigate customer complaints, internal rejections, and process deviations; support root cause analysis using 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, and 8D methodology.
• Ensure timely closure of corrective actions and maintain documentation as per quality system requirements.
• Review and update quality documents following process changes, customer complaints, non-conformities, and engineering revisions.

Preferred candidate profile

• Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, or Automobile Engineering.
• 25 years of experience in Quality Engineering, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and Control Plan preparation, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
• Hands-on experience in preparing and maintaining Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEA, Control Plans, and PPAP documentation as per customer requirements.
• Good knowledge of APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, FMEA, and IATF 16949 quality management systems.
• Understanding of AIAG-VDA FMEA methodology, customer-specific requirements, and automotive quality standards.
• Experience in dimensional inspection, GD&T, engineering drawings, process validation, and process capability studies (Cp, Cpk, Pp, Ppk).
• Knowledge of root cause analysis, 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, CAPA, and continuous improvement tools.
• Ability to coordinate with Production, Quality, Process Engineering, and Supplier Quality teams for new product development and process improvement.
• Good analytical, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Candidates with experience in automotive component manufacturing, new product development, and customer audits will be preferred.
