We are seeking a skilled and passionate Web Manual + Cypress/Playwright Automation Engineer to join our quality assurance team. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and functionality of web applications by designing, developing, and maintaining test plans, test cases, and test runs along with automated tests using Cypress/Playwright. You will work closely with development and QA teams to drive test automation best practices and help deliver high-quality software.
Responsibilities:
- Manual testing with a strong coding background to report bugs effectively.
- Contribute to Cypress automation tasks.
- Perform basic tasks such as communication, Jira, GitHub.
- Have a strong software testing background with a thorough understanding of SDLC.
- Create comprehensive test plans.
- Understand project requirements and functional concepts.
- Write detailed test cases.
- Execute test cases and generate clear reports.
- Create and track bugs through their lifecycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test automation strategies.
- Develop and maintain end-to-end test suites for web applications.
- Create and run automated test scripts for regression, functional, and performance testing.
- Identify, report, and work on defect resolution.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated testing.
- Maintain code using source control systems, primarily Git.
- Document test plans and test cases clearly and concisely.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and best practices.
- Stay updated with industry trends in test automation and share knowledge.
Qualifications:
- BE/BTech/ME/MTech in Computer Science or MCA.
- 5+ years of experience in test automation with Cypress/Playwright.
- Extensive manual testing experience.
- Experience with Agile development practices.
- Familiarity with modern web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, React, Angular).
- Experience with API testing tools like Postman.
- Knowledge of testing methodologies and test design techniques.
- Proficiency with Git for version control.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, BitBucket CI.
Experience with performance and load testing tools is a plus.
