Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to drive testing across manual and automation domains. You will contribute to test planning, execute diverse test types, and develop robust automation frameworks for Web, API, and Mobile apps.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software testing experience with a focus on automation.
• 2+ years in automation development and maintaining automation frameworks.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, Scrum and DevOps practices.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, Rest Assured, Karate, or Fiddler.
• Strong SQL/database validation skills and data integrity verification.
• Familiarity with Git, GitHub, Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and define test scope; design, review, and execute test plans and cases.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, system, smoke, and end-to-end testing.
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks for Web, API, and Mobile apps.
• Create automated test scripts using Playwright, Selenium, and Appium.
• Log defects with JIRA/Azure DevOps; track and verify fixes.
• Prepare test reports and quality metrics; provide go/no-go recommendations.
• Collaborate with Product, Developers, BA, and QA throughout SDLC.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to test strategy.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced quality engineer professional with strong expertise in both Manual and Automation Testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring software quality through comprehensive test planning, execution, automation framework development, API testing, CI/CD integration, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

Role & responsibilities

• Analyze business, functional, and technical requirements and define test scope. Design, develop, review, and execute test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, system, smoke, sanity, UAT, and end-to-end testing.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance automation frameworks for Web, API, and Mobile applications.
• Create and maintain automated test scripts using any AI-assisted tools like Playwright with supporting Selenium and Appium.
• Experience with BDD/TDD frameworks such as Cucumber or Spec Flow.
• Manage test environments, automation infrastructure, and execution stability.
• Identify, log, track, and verify defects using JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
• Perform SQL-based data validation and support test data preparation activities.
• Prepare test reports, quality metrics, defect summaries, and go/no-go recommendations.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, Business Analysts, and QA teams throughout SDLC.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and defect triage.
• Knowledge of test case management tools like BrowserStack.
