Job summary

RN Valves & Faucets in India seeks a Quality Engineer for PTMT/plastic fittings to ensure raw materials, molding processes, and finished products meet dimensional, mechanical, and regulatory standards.

Key duties include IQC, IPQC, and finished goods inspection; root cause analysis using 5-Why or Fishbone; and maintaining ISO 9001 documentation to ensure ISI/BIS or international plumbing standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Plastics, or Production Engineering.
• 2-5 years in quality control/quality assurance in manufacturing (preferably plastic injection molding, plumbing, or sanitary fittings).
• Proficiency with measuring instruments (Vernier calipers, micrometer, thread gauges, height gauge) and reading technical drawings.
• Knowledge of 7 QC tools, CAPA, and SPC.

Responsibilities

• Incoming Quality Control (IQC): Inspect raw polymers, masterbatches, brass inserts, or metal components for compliance with specifications.
• In-Process Quality Control (IPQC): Monitor injection molding, extrusion, or machining parameters (temperature, pressure, cycle time) to prevent defects like flash, sink marks, or warping.
• Finished Goods Inspection: Check final PTMT products for dimensional accuracy, surface finish, thread integrity, and pressure/leakage resistance.
• Root Cause Analysis: Lead investigations using 5-Why or Fishbone diagrams when production rejections or customer complaints occur.
• Compliance & Standards: Maintain documentation for ISO 9001 systems and ensure products meet relevant ISI/BIS or international plumbing/industrial standards.
