Job Summary

We are looking for a Quality Engineer with 23 years of hands-on experience in the Sheet Metal Fabrication industry. The candidate will be responsible for conducting quality inspections, monitoring manufacturing processes, identifying defects, maintaining quality documentation, and ensuring that products meet defined quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct incoming material inspection, in-process inspection, and final product inspection.
2. Monitor quality at different stages of sheet metal fabrication, including cutting, bending, punching, welding, and assembly.
3. Perform dimensional inspections as per engineering drawings and specifications.
4. Identify quality defects, deviations, rejection, and rework during production.
5. Coordinate with Production and Engineering teams to resolve quality-related issues.
6. Prepare and maintain inspection reports, rejection reports, and quality documentation.
7. Support root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
8. Ensure proper use of measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, and other inspection tools.
9. Conduct routine process and product quality checks to ensure compliance with quality standards.
10. Assist in internal quality audits and customer audits.
11. Monitor rejection, rework, and scrap levels and suggest improvement measures.
12. Ensure adherence to quality procedures, work instructions, and safety standards.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Hands-on experience in Sheet Metal Fabrication quality processes.
• Knowledge of welding, cutting, bending, punching, and assembly processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Basic knowledge of GD&T and dimensional inspection.
• Practical experience with Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, etc.
• Knowledge of 7 QC Tools, 5 Why Analysis, and Fishbone Analysis.
• Basic understanding of RCA, CAPA, and quality documentation.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience: 2–3 years in Quality Assurance / Quality Control.
• Industry: Sheet Metal Fabrication experience is mandatory. Candidates from other manufacturing industries will not be preferred.
• Qualification: Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• Location: Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.
