Job summary

Perceptyne Robots in Telangana, India seeks a Mechanical QC Technician to perform incoming, in-process, and final inspection of mechanical components, ensuring parts meet dimensional tolerances and engineering drawings.

You will read GD&T, use Vernier Caliper, Micrometers and gauges, document results, support QC engineers during inspections, and travel to supplier facilities more than 50% of the time.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience.
  • Good knowledge of mechanical precision measuring instruments and inspection methods.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings.
  • Understanding of fits, tolerances and GD&T.
  • MS Office Excel & Word knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspection of mechanical components.
  • Inspect incoming materials, machined parts, fabricated components, and assemblies.
  • Read and understand engineering drawings with GD&T.
  • Carry out inspection of machining, welding, fabrication, grinding, and assembly operations.
  • Maintain inspection and traceability records.
  • Travel to vendor facilities for inspection; travel may exceed 50% of the time.

Job Summary

A Mechanical QC Technician performs incoming, in-process, and final inspection of mechanical components. The technician ensures that parts meet dimensional tolerances, specifications mentioned in engineering drawings and ensure parts comply with company quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspection of mechanical components.
  • Inspect incoming materials, machined parts, fabricated components, and assemblies.
  • Read and understand engineering drawings with GD&T.
  • Use of measuring instruments such as:

1. Vernier Caliper, Outside/Inside Micrometre, Height Gauge, Dial Gauge, Bore Gauge, Feeler Gauge, Thread and Plug Gauge, Surface Gauge etc.

  • Carry out inspection of machining, welding, fabrication, grinding, and assembly operations.
  • Assist with NCR (Non-Conformance Report) preparation.
  • Maintain inspection and traceability records.
  • Support QC Engineers during customer, supplier, and third-party inspections.
  • Follow quality procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements.
  • Travelling to vendor facilities for inspection, travelling will be more than 50% of the times.
Required Technical Skills
  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience.
  • Good knowledge of mechanical precision measuring instruments and inspection methods.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings.
  • Understanding of fits, tolerances and GD&T.
  • Good observation and defect-identification skills.
  • MS Office Excel & Word basic working knowledge is must.
Required Soft skills:
  • Passionate about robotics and precision manufacturing.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and implement them to improve productivity.
  • High integrity to report product defects honestly despite production pressure.
  • Communicates clearly and effectively with engineers and external vendors.
