Job summary

Perceptyne in India is seeking a Quality Control Technician with at least 2 years of experience in precision manufacturing. The role involves incoming, in-process, and final inspection of mechanical components, ensuring adherence to drawings and GD&T while maintaining traceability and quality records.

Responsibilities include using precision instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) and coordinating with QC Engineers during inspections; travel to vendor facilities will be substantial.

Qualifications

  • Mention of diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in QC or precision manufacturing.
  • Good knowledge of mechanical precision measuring instruments and inspection methods.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings with GD&T.
  • Understanding of fits and tolerances.
  • MS Office Excel & Word basic working knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspection of mechanical components.
  • Inspect incoming materials, machined parts, fabricated components, and assemblies.
  • Read and understand engineering drawings with GD&T.
  • Carry out inspection using specified gauges and instruments.
  • Maintain inspection and traceability records.
  • Assist QC Engineers during customer, supplier, and third-party inspections.
  • Travel to vendor facilities for inspection; travel may exceed 50%.

  • Working on disruptive tech while hitting the market ASAP Job Details: Job Title: Quality Control Technician Experience: Minimum 2 years Industry: Precision Manufacturing / Aerospace Manufacturing Job Summary A Mechanical QC Technician performs incoming, in-process, and final inspection of mechanical components. The technician ensures that parts meet dimensional tolerances, specifications mentioned in engineering drawings and ensure parts comply with company quality requirements. Key Responsibilities Perform visual and dimensional inspection of mechanical components. Inspect incoming materials, machined parts, fabricated components, and assemblies. Read and understand engineering drawings with GD&T
  • Use of measuring instruments such as: 1. Vernier Caliper, Outside/Inside Micrometre , Height Gauge, Dial Gauge, Bore Gauge, Feeler Gauge, Thread and Plug Gauge, Surface Gauge etc. Carry out inspection of machining, welding, fabrication, grinding, and assembly operations. Assist with NCR (Non-Conformance Report) preparation. Maintain inspection and traceability records. Support QC Engineers during customer, supplier, and third-party inspections. Follow quality procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements. Travelling to vendor facilities for inspection, travelling will be more than 50% of the times. Required Technical Skills Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum 2 years of work experience. Good knowledge of mechanical precision measuring instruments and inspection methods. Ability to read engineering drawings
  • Understanding of fits, tolerances and GD&T
  • Good observation and defect-identification skills. MS Office Excel & Word basic working knowledge is must. Required Soft skills:

  • High integrity to report product defects honestly despite production pressure.
