Job summary

The Flower Puff Girlz seeks an experienced QC/R&D Head to lead quality control and product development at the factory in Maharashtra. You will drive formulation development, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead cross-functional teams including production and QA across multiple projects.

Ideal candidates bring 5–10+ years in QC/R&D within manufacturing, strong lab skills, and proven leadership to implement CAPA and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-10+ years of experience in QC and R&D within manufacturing environments.
• Experience in FMCG, fragrance, cosmetics, chemicals, or similar industries preferred.
• Strong knowledge of lab testing methods, formulations, and QC instruments.
• Hands-on experience with quality systems, documentation, and audits.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage teams and operate effectively in a fast-paced factory environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all quality control activities including raw material inspection, in-process checks, and final product testing.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, SOPs, and testing protocols.
• Develop and maintain QC documentation, records, and reporting systems.
• Lead formulation development, sample creation, and improvement of existing products.
• Drive new product development (NPD) based on market and management requirements.
• Test and evaluate raw materials, fragrances, and packaging compatibility.
• Maintain lab records, formulation documents, and test reports.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, statutory, and industry quality requirements.
• Establish and implement QA systems, procedures, and guidelines across the factory.
• Coordinate with external laboratories for certifications, testing, and compliance.
• Lead, train, and supervise QC and R&D teams including chemists and lab technicians.
• Assign daily tasks, review performance, and ensure timely testing and reporting.
• Build a culture focused on accuracy, discipline, and continuous improvement.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for quality failures and customer complaints.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Work closely with production teams to minimize defects and process issues.
• Approve new raw materials, chemicals, and packaging components after evaluation.
• Coordinate with procurement and suppliers on quality-related concerns.
• Ensure all incoming materials meet specifications before release.
• Maintain QC reports, batch records, COAs, test logs, and audit documentation.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality performance reports.
• Work closely with Production, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Dispatch teams.
• Provide technical guidance during manufacturing and issue resolution.
• Participate in internal audits and customer audits.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities
