Job summary

Shashwath Solution is seeking a Quality Control In charge to oversee construction quality on-site across all project stages. You will develop and implement the Quality Control Plan, inspect materials, supervise testing, and ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards.

The role requires 3–5 years in quality control for large-scale construction projects, with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with engineers and supervisors.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance in the construction industry, with a strong focus on large-scale construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the project's Quality Control Plan (QCP) in collaboration with the project management team.
  • Ensure all construction activities, materials, and processes meet or exceed the required quality standards and specifications.
  • Conduct regular inspections, audits, and reviews of construction work to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with technical drawings and standards.
  • Inspect and approve the materials and supplies used on-site, ensuring they meet the project specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise and coordinate the sampling, testing, and evaluation of construction materials (e.g., concrete, steel, aggregates).
  • Establish and enforce quality control procedures for all construction activities, including earthworks, concrete pouring, structural work, and finishing.
  • Review construction plans, drawings, and specifications for accuracy and potential issues before work begins.
  • Identify potential quality issues early and work proactively to resolve them, minimizing disruptions to the project timeline.
  • Conduct routine inspections to monitor the progress of construction and assess the quality of work.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective actions.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all quality-related issues and resolutions, maintaining traceability throughout the project.
  • Identify, record, and report any non-conformance or deviations from the quality standards and project specifications.
  • Coordinate with the project team to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to address quality issues and avoid future occurrences.
  • Monitor the implementation of corrective actions to ensure that issues are resolved in a timely and effective manner.
  • Work closely with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to ensure quality expectations are met across all phases of the project.
  • Provide technical guidance and advice to site teams regarding quality control procedures and best practices.
  • Participate in project meetings to report on quality control issues and progress.
  • Train and mentor construction staff and subcontractors on quality control procedures, standards, and best practices.
  • Promote quality awareness across the site by conducting regular briefings and awareness sessions for the entire team.
  • Ensure that quality control procedures align with safety regulations and that safety standards are adhered to during inspections.
  • Work with the health and safety team to ensure that quality processes do not compromise safety.
  • Prepare detailed quality control reports, including inspection results, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions taken.
  • Submit regular progress updates to the senior management and project team regarding quality performance.

Overview

The Quality Control In charge is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality standards of construction activities throughout the project lifecycle. This role involves implementing, monitoring, and maintaining quality control processes on-site to ensure compliance with specifications, safety standards, and industry regulations. The QC In charge works closely with engineers, contractors, and project managers to ensure that the construction process meets the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Quality Management
    • Develop and implement the project's Quality Control Plan (QCP) in collaboration with the project management team.
    • Ensure all construction activities, materials, and processes meet or exceed the required quality standards and specifications.
