Job summary

Decorpot is seeking a QC Executive for the Malur factory to ensure end-to-end quality control of in-process and finished goods. The role involves verifying drawings against production, coordinating with production and design teams, and maintaining QC records on the factory floor.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of relevant QC experience in interior/furniture sectors, reads engineering drawings, and is proficient with MS Excel.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct complete quality checks for all factory-produced items.
• Study and interpret drawings and perform QC as per specifications.
• Identify deviations, defects, or non-conformities and report promptly to the QC Manager.
• Coordinate with production, design and internal teams to resolve quality issues.
• Maintain documentation and inspection reports, including rejections.
• Ensure finished goods match drawing specifications before dispatch.
• Track and follow up on corrective actions for quality issues.
• Maintain basic quality reports in Excel for management reporting.
• Support QC Manager in implementing quality standards across the factory.

Reporting To: QC Manager – Factory

Experience Required: 1+ Years (Mandatory experience in the Interior Industry)

Job Purpose

To ensure complete quality control of factory production by verifying finished and in-process work against approved drawings and specifications, and to coordinate effectively with production and other departments to maintain quality standards.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct complete quality checks (QC) for all products/items manufactured at the factory.
• Study and interpret drawings, and carry out QC based on drawing specifications and dimensions.
• Identify deviations, defects, or non-conformities and report them promptly to the QC Manager.
• Coordinate with production, design, and other internal teams to resolve quality issues.
• Maintain proper documentation and records of QC checks, inspection reports, and rejections.
• Ensure that finished goods match drawing specifications before dispatch/handover.
• Track and follow up on corrective actions for identified quality issues.
• Maintain basic quality reports and data in Excel for reporting to management.
• Support the QC Manager in implementing and maintaining quality standards across the factory.
• Ensure adherence to company quality processes and guidelines.

Qualifications & Skills Required

• Any Graduate (Degree in any stream is acceptable).
• Minimum 1 years of relevant QC experience, specifically in the Interior/Furniture/Interior Fit-out Industry.
• Ability to read and understand technical/engineering drawings.
• Basic computer knowledge with working proficiency in MS Excel.
• Good communication skills (verbal and written).
• Strong coordination and teamwork skills to work with cross-functional teams.
