Job summary

A. M. Designs Pvt. Ltd. in Ahmedabad is seeking a QC Engineer with a Diploma/BE/B.Tech in Mechanical/Production Eng or CAD-CAM. The role focuses on in-process inspection, GD&T, and first piece approval to ensure product quality on the shop floor.

You will manage measurement strategies, document quality activities, and perform root-cause analyses with 7QC tools to drive CAPA. Knowledge of CMM is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma/BE/B.Tech in Mechanical/Production Engineering or CAD-CAM.
• Experience in inspection using Vernier calipers, height gauges, micrometers and related gauges.
• Knowledge of GD&T and measurement strategy definition.
• Capable of stage inspection and first piece approval as per drawings.
• Maintain quality documents and perform rejection and CAPA analyses.
• Root cause analysis using 7QC tools, 8D, and why-why analysis.
• Coordinate with production for quality alerts and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Stage inspection of machined parts per drawing and grant first piece approval.
• Define measurement strategy and ensure in-process characteristics.
• Maintain quality documentation and perform rejection analysis daily.
• Lead CAPA for rework and rejection (yellow/red bin).
• Conduct in-process manufacturing of products with online inspection.
• Perform 100% visual inspection and root cause analysis.
• Coordinate with production to implement corrective actions and quality alerts.
• Knowledge of CMM machines to verify critical features.

Position: QC Engineer.

Qualification: Diploma/ BE/B.Tech. (Mechanical/Production Engineering/CAD-CAM)

Reporting To: QA-QC Lead Engineer/Operation Manager.

We are looking for a QC engineer with the following capabilities.

• Having expertise in handling measuring instruments like Vernier caliper, height gauges (TRIMOS), micrometers, radius gauges, go-no-go gauges, thread gauges, Slip Gauges, profile projectors, hardness testers, etc.
• Knowledge of GD&T.
• Define measurement strategy.
• Stage inspection of the machined part as per the drawing and give first piece approval.
• Ensure Product & Process characteristics for In-process management at Shop floor.
• Maintain Quality documents.
• Rejection analysis of ongoing process & control.
• Prepare Rejection Report & Quality Performance Report on daily basis
• Responsible for Rework and Rejection (Yellow/Red bin) analysis at shop floor & initiate CAPA.
• In-process manufacturing of the products and their online inspection.
• 100% Visual Inspection.
• Root cause analysis using problem-solving tools like 7QC Tools, 8D, and why-why analysis and coordinating with the production team.
• Follow-up of Corrective and Preventive Action Implementation.
• Coordinate with the production team and generate a quality alert on the shop floor over a customer complaint.
• Knowledge of CMM machines.
