Job summary

Valuelabs in India is seeking a QA professional with hands-on experience in integration testing with external systems, APIs, and downstream/upstream interfaces. This role demands strong automation understanding and collaboration with automation teams.

You'll lead QA activities, mentor testers, and ensure adherence to testing standards, covering manual testing, test planning, execution, defect lifecycle, and SDLC/Agile methodologies.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in integration testing with external systems, APIs, third-party applications, and upstream/downstream interfaces.
• Strong knowledge of test automation concepts, frameworks, and scripting languages; ability to collaborate with automation teams.
• Proven experience in leading QA teams, mentoring testers, reviewing deliverables, and enforcing testing standards.
• Solid background in manual testing, including test planning, design, execution, defect tracking, and reporting.
• Familiarity with STLC, SDLC, Agile, Scrum and Waterfall methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA activities across projects and ensure test coverage for functional, regression, system, integration, and UAT testing.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, driving quality initiatives through the project lifecycle.
• Estimate testing effort, allocate resources, monitor progress, and manage deliverables within timelines.
• Analyze complex business workflows to translate requirements into effective test cases and scenarios.

Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with business stakeholders, developers, product owners, and project managers. Familiarity with test management tools for test planning, execution, traceability, and reporting. Experience in performing functional, regression, system, integration, end-to-end, smoke, sanity, exploratory, and user acceptance testing (UAT) support. Strong understanding of defect management processes, including defect triage, root cause analysis, severity/priority assessment, and closure validation. Ability to analyze complex business workflows and translate requirements into effective test cases and test scenarios. Experience in validating data flows, database testing, and backend testing using SQL queries. Skilled in creating and maintaining test plans, test strategies, test execution reports, and quality metrics dashboards. Ability to estimate testing effort, plan resource allocation, track progress, and manage testing deliverables within project timelines. Experience in coordinating with cross-functional teams and driving quality initiatives throughout the project lifecycle. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a quality-first mindset. Exposure to performance, security, and accessibility testing concepts and their impact on overall product quality.
