Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer II to ensure quality for BPC and Amazon Family services. You will design test strategies, automate tests, and own end-to-end quality across web, mobile, and backend systems.

You will collaborate with senior engineers, TPMs, Business Leaders, and Product Managers to deliver reliable experiences to millions of customers. The role requires strong automation, debugging, and leadership in cross-geo teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of quality assurance engineering experience.
• Experience in manual testing.

• Experience as QA lead on medium to large sized projects.
• Experience developing high quality test plans, test designs, test strategies, and test execution.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using black-box and white-box testing techniques.
• Own end-to-end quality for features spanning web, mobile, and backend services.
• Lead manual QA efforts and coordinate testing with cross-functional teams across geographies.
• Debug complex issues using logs, monitoring tools, and service internals.
• Define scope and deliverables on manual and automation projects, driving execution end-to-end.

We're looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer II to join our team. You should be able to understand software internals, debug problems using logs, and write automated tests using UI & Backend Frameworks in a fast-paced environment.

This is a high-visibility position where you'll collaborate with Senior SDEs, TPMs, Business Leaders, and Product Managers to deliver delightful experiences to millions of customers.

Key job responsibilities

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
• Experience in manual testing
• Experience in automation testing
• Experience as QA lead on medium to large sized projects
• Experience developing high quality test plans, test designs, test strategies, and test execution

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with at least one automated test framework like Selenium or Appium
• Experience in gathering test requirements to create detailed test plans and defining quality metrics to measure product quality
• Experience with Android, iOS or other mobile application development or testing
• Experience scripting or coding
• Experience working closely with development and business teams to communicate problem impacts and to understand business requirements
