Job description

Quality Assurance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Engineer with expertise in IP-based networks and Layer 2/Layer 2+ access protocols. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation, cloud platforms, and network technologies. This is a contract position based in Chennai, Tamilnadu, India, and requires a commitment to delivering high-quality products through rigorous testing and validation.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply expertise in IP-based networks and Layer 2/Layer 2+ access protocols including Ethernet, VLAN, QoS, Multicast, DHCP, PPPoE, 802.1x, and Radius.
• Work with products such as GPON, XGSPON, and wireless access technologies.
• Utilize hands-on experience with containers, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Perform Linux command-line operations and system debugging.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines, release automation, and test frameworks (Jenkins, Selenium, Robot Framework).
• Familiarize with NetConf, YANG models, and REST APIs.
• Conduct product testing including Wi-Fi testing, feature testing, performance, and interoperability validation.
• Engage in Test-Driven Design (TDD/ATDD) and utilize automated test tools.
• Collaborate effectively in cross-functional and global teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor?s or Master?s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Science, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in Linux OS, Docker, and deployment in virtual environments.
• Experience in shell scripting and Python for automation, test development, and system administration.
• Knowledge of XML, XSLT, and data migration.
• Certifications such as CKAD (Certified Kubernetes Application Developer) or equivalent are a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high quality ownership mindset.
