Job summary

Luxoft in Bengaluru seeks an experienced test engineer to verify and test Data Center routing and switching platforms for a Major Enterprise Networking equipment provider.

You will design test strategies, build end-to-end automation, and coordinate with development and product teams to ensure scalable, secure deployments across data center networks.

Qualifications

• B.S./B.E./B.Tech in CS/EE/ECE with 8+ years in Networking/Telecom- Embedded/Network Management.
• Hands-on testing of Data Center Network platforms.
• Experience in test plan development and validating scalable data center network and network security solutions.
• Proficient in test automation tools (Spirent, IXIA) and virtualization (VMware NSX, OpenStack, Linux).
• Hands-on experience in developing test automation suites using Python or similar scripting language.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Work with development, product management, and customer solution engineering to test and validate features and system test profiles.
• Develop test strategy, topology and plan to validate features end-to-end at scale with security considerations.
• Understand customer deployments across data center networks, security, routing and switching and validate profiles.
• Execute tests, document results on performance, scale and security.
• Collaborate with development to translate requirements into high-quality test automation.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues, validate fixes with engineering.
• Develop automation for end-to-end solution validation and integrate it for seamless validation.
• Review customer deployments and issues and address gaps in test coverage.
• Involve in customer deployments and escalations to assist deployments in customer environments.

Product verification & testing for Data Center routing & switching platforms - Major Enterprise Networking equipment provider

Responsibilities

• Work closely with development engineering, product management, and customer solution engineering team to test and validate features functionality and system test profiles for data center networks, network security and routing technologies.
• Develop test strategy, test topology and test plan to validate the features end-to-end at scale with network security consideration.
• Understand various customer deployments and solutions across data center networks, security, routing and switching and validate customer profiles.
• Execute test cases and validate the solution end-to-end and document the test results on performance, scale and security.
• Collaborate with development team to translate software requirements into high-quality test automation suites.
• Debug and troubleshoot complex issues and work closely with the engineering team on the failures and validate the fixes.
• Develop automation for the end-to-end solution validation and integrate the automation for seamless validation.
• Review customer deployments and customer-found issues and address any gaps in the test coverage.
• Involve in customer deployments and customer escalations and help the customers to deploy Client's solutions in the customer environment.

Must have

• Minimum of B.S./B.E./B.Tech in CS/EE/ECE/ITo 8+ years of relevant industry experience in Networking/Telecom- Embedded/Network Management with hands-on experience in functional, system test and automation.
• Proven technical knowledge and experience in testing Data Center Network platforms.
• Proven knowledge and hands-on experience in test plan development and validating scalable data center network and network security solutions.
• Experience in planning and building large-scale system test topologies with detailed knowledge of test automation tools and software test tools (Spirent, IXIA) and virtualization platforms such as VMware (vCenter, NSX), OpenStack and Linux OS variants such as Ubuntu, CentOS, KVM.
• Hands‑on experience in developing test automation suites using Python or a similar scripting language.
• Experience in performance, scale and convergence testing and analyzing performance‑related issues and improving the performance and convergence at system level.
• Ability to develop and publish solution validation document and test report.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization: Product Management, Technical Marketing, Field Sales, Documentation and Development Team.
• Highly motivated and self‑driven.
• Able to collaborate cross‑functionally to meet challenging goals.
