Job summary

Common Service Centres (CSC) in India is seeking a QA/Test Engineer to ensure quality across desktop and web applications. The role involves planning and executing test strategies, automating where feasible, and collaborating with product and development teams.

You will perform manual, functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing; conduct API and database testing with Postman, Swagger, SQL/MySQL; document defects and release notes, and support UAT activities through the release lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Perform Manual, Functional, Regression, Integration, and UAT testing of applications.
• Understand business and functional requirements and translate them into test scenarios and test cases.
• Prepare and execute comprehensive test cases, test scenarios, test data, and defect reports.
• Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman and Swagger.
• Perform database testing and data validation using SQL/MySQL.
• Identify, document, track, and retest defects; coordinate with developers for timely resolution.
• Validate end-to-end application workflows and third-party system/API integration flows.
• Support UAT activities, including test planning, execution, defect tracking, and closure.
• Prepare and maintain BRD, process flows, user stories, UAT documents, test documentation, and release notes.
• Participate in requirement discussions and provide inputs from a quality and testing perspective.
• Ensure adequate test coverage and quality standards before application releases.
• Coordinate with Product, Business, Development, and other stakeholders throughout the testing and release lifecycle.
