Job summary

Qualifications

• 1–4 years of hands-on manual testing experience.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC/STLC and defect lifecycle.
• Experience with functional, regression, integration, and UI testing.
• Ability to create detailed test cases and defect reports.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with bug-tracking tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test cases based on requirements.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and UI testing for web/mobile apps.
• Identify, document, track, and retest defects.
• Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to ensure quality.
• Participate in requirement analysis, sprint planning, and QA review meetings.
• Perform basic API testing and database validation when required.
• Support UAT and release validation activities.
• Maintain test documentation and communicate testing progress.
• Explore AI-assisted testing approaches for test data generation and defect analysis.
• Assist with automation testing activities where applicable.

Note: This position is open only to candidates based in Mumbai or nearby locations who are comfortable with Work From Office requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test plans based on business and functional requirements.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, and UI testing for web and/or mobile applications.
• Identify, document, track, and retest defects using bug-tracking tools.
• Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure application quality.
• Participate in requirement analysis, sprint planning, and QA review meetings.
• Perform basic API testing and database validation when required.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and release validation activities.
• Maintain proper test documentation and communicate testing progress.
• Explore AI-assisted testing approaches for test case generation, test data preparation, and defect analysis.
• Assist with automation testing activities wherever applicable.

Required Skills (Must Have)

• 1–4 years of hands‑on experience in Manual Testing.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle.
• Experience in functional, regression, integration, and UI testing.
• Ability to create detailed test cases, test scenarios, and defect reports.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with bug‑tracking tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.

Good to Have

• Exposure to Automation Testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
• Basic understanding of SQL and database testing.
• Exposure to AI-assisted testing tools such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or similar.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
