Job summary

TE Connectivity in Bengaluru is looking for a hands-on Electrical Test Engineer to join a multicultural engineering team. You will perform critical electrical tests, set up test rigs, prepare samples and compile reports, contributing to product quality and reliability.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 2–3 years of experience with insulation resistance, contact resistance, dielectric strength and temperature rise testing.

Qualifications

• Ability to conduct tests independently and report results.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical tests such as insulation resistance, dielectric strength, and contact resistance.
• Prepare samples, set up test rigs, and compile reports.
• Maintain knowledge of electrical test specifications (IEC, DIN, ISO).
• Coordinate with internal and external customers to understand test requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• 2~3 years of hands on experience in Electrical testing.
• Must have good knowledge on fundamentals of Electrical circuits and testing.
• Must have independently conduct tests like:
  • Contact resistance – Dry circuit method & at specified current
  • Insulation resistance
  • Di-electric strength test
  • Temp-rise/ Derating test
  • Operation of Data logger
  • Additionally should be able to prepare test samples, set-up test rigs, perform and compile reports.
• Must have an understanding of Electrical test specification like IEC, EIA, DIN, ISO, Industry standard LV214 etc.
• Experience in Climatic test, Thermal shock testing is an added advantage.
• Should network with internal (India / affiliates) and external customers to understand test requirements.
