Niva Bupa is seeking an experienced Qlik Sense Developer to design, build, and optimize dashboards and data models for health insurance analytics. Qualifications

• 3-5+ years hands-on experience as a Qlik Sense Developer.
• Healthcare or health insurance data experience is a significant advantage.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Qlik Sense dashboards and applications.
• Develop and optimize Qlik Sense data models (QVDs, facts, dimensions).
• Write and maintain Qlik Sense load scripts for ETL processes.
• Implement incremental loads and performance tuning for large datasets.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into BI solutions.
• Ensure data governance, security (Section Access) and HIPAA compliance.
• Provide production support and troubleshoot data/performance issues.

Role & Responsibilities

• Dashboard and Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable Qlik Sense applications and dashboards that provide clear, actionable insights into key health insurance metrics (e.g., claims data, member enrollment, provider performance, and financial analytics).
• Data Modeling & Scripting:
  • Develop and optimize complex Qlik Sense data models (QVD layer, fact tables, dimension tables) to ensure high performance and data integrity.
  • Write and maintain complex Qlik Sense load scripts (Qlik Scripting Language) to perform ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes from various data sources.
  • Implement incremental loads and other performance tuning techniques to handle large datasets efficiently.
• Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders, including actuaries, claims analysts, clinical teams, and executives, to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for BI solutions.
• Data Governance & Security:
  • Ensure data quality and consistency across all Qlik applications.
  • Implement robust security rules and row-level security (Section Access) to protect sensitive data, including PII (Personally Identifiable Information) and PHI (Protected Health Information), in compliance with regulations like HIPAA.
• Production Support & Maintenance:
  • Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for existing Qlik Sense applications.
  • Diagnose and resolve performance issues, data discrepancies, and other production problems in a timely manner.
• Best Practices & Innovation:
  • Adhere to Qlik Sense development best practices, including data visualization principles, UX/UI design, and documentation.

Stay up-to-date with new Qlik features and industry trends to continuously improve our BI solutions.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Experience

• 3-5+ years of hands-on experience as a Qlik Sense Developer.
• Specific to Healthcare: Proven experience working with healthcare or health insurance data is a significant advantage.

Technical Skills

• Expert-level proficiency in Qlik Sense scripting (ETL) and data modeling.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis (e.g., T-SQL, PL/SQL).
• Experience with Qlik Sense architecture, server management, and administration is a plus.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema).
• Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend) is a plus.
