Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior QA Engineer in Hyderabad to shape global logistics testing efforts. Lead automation efforts, develop testing frameworks, and ensure reliability across mission-critical systems serving millions of customers worldwide.

You will collaborate with software engineers to understand architecture, implement automated tests, and drive quality throughout the SDLC to enable fast, safe product releases.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of quality assurance engineering experience.
• Experience delivering test frameworks and leading QA initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies and automation testing.
• Experience with automation testing and manual testing.
• UI automation experience preferred (mobile platforms).

You'll lead the development of sophisticated testing frameworks that ensure the reliability and performance of mission-critical logistics systems serving millions of customers worldwide. Your work will directly impact Amazon's ability to deliver products efficiently and reliably across our global network.

Key job responsibilities

• Create test strategies, test plans and test cases
• Review user interfaces for conformity and functionality
• Efficiently execute test cases across all functional areas of our products
• Review product user interface for conformity to design guidelines
• Find, isolate, document, regress and track bugs through resolution
• Interpret and report testing results and be a vocal proponent for quality in every phase of the development process
• Work with software development engineers to understand the overall technical architecture and how each feature is implemented
• Engage in code reviews to ensure testability and unit test designs
• Develop automated tests, scripts, and tools to enable CI/CD
• Collaborate across teams to enhance total product quality

Basic qualifications

• 6+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
• 4+ years of delivering test frameworks, test tools, leading the QA projects and initiatives experience
• Knowledge of QA methodology and tools, with demonstrated experience in an QAE role
• Experience in automation testing
• Experience in manual testing

Preferred qualifications

• 2+ years of UI Automation (preferably on mobile platforms) experience
• Knowledge of at least one modern object-oriented programming language such as C++, Java, Objective C
