Quality Assurance Engineer I, Global Trade, SFT

Seller Experience and Fulfillment Technology (SFT) team located in Bangalore is looking for a QAE to deliver strategic goals for Amazon e-commerce systems. This role involves testing and creating automated tests for strategic business initiatives in a high performance, co-located agile environment where SDEs, QAEs, QATs, Product Managers and Principals collaborate with end customers.

We build systems that scale across multiple marketplaces in automated large-scale ecommerce. The QAE will understand the domain, contribute to the product roadmap through quality engineering, and help deliver high quality software for large company-wide initiatives. QAEs/QATs stay connected with customers through seller/FC/Deliver Station visits and customer anecdotes to inform quality decisions.

Overview

You are a sharp, passionate engineer with strong problem-solving skills and a solid software testing foundation. You are a detail-oriented tester who is enthusiastic about quality and new technology offered to consumers.

Key responsibilities

Automate service level and UI tests using existing/new frameworks to reduce manual effort and deliver faster to customers.
Drive end-to-end quality assurance activities for customer- and business-critical features, including writing detailed test plans, test strategies, and test cases in collaboration with Software Developers and Product Managers.
Understand software internals, debug problems using log files, and report defects with clear reproducible steps.
Adhere to standard quality assurance practices and publish regular quality metrics.
Coordinate with multiple teams to communicate technical requirements, drive schedules, and help build test plans that test end-to-end functionality spanning services owned by multiple organizations.
Contribute toward process improvements to speed delivery and improve quality of launched features.
Debug and fix automated tests as needed and contribute to adding new tests to existing automation suites.
Be proactive in identifying issues, deep-dive troubleshooting, communicating with stakeholders, and providing status reports.

Basic qualifications

3+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
Experience in manual testing
Experience in automation testing
Experience in UI and API automation testing (Selenium/SOAPUI)

Preferred qualifications

Experience in API & Mobile testing
Experience designing and planning test conditions, test scripts, and test data sets to ensure appropriate coverage
