Job summary

Persistent Systems is seeking an experienced QAD Implementation Consultant to lead and deliver ERP manufacturing projects for global clients. The role involves designing solutions, configuring QAD modules, and guiding teams across multiple locations with a balance of remote work and occasional travel.

You will participate in go-live activities, develop business process workbooks, validate solutions, and ensure timelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Industrial Manufacturing, Business Administration or related discipline.
  • APICS certification highly preferred. Certification in APICS or QAD Products is added value.
  • Certified in at least one QAD area, if available, and one external certification. One QAD industry certification or additional product certification is required.
  • Certified/trained in Effective On-Boarding.
  • Application knowledge of the most common QAD ERP Manufacturing/Distribution modules, especially in the Core Manufacturing concept, Planning & Scheduling (MRP & MSW/PSW), Discrete & Repetitive Production (Production Orders)
  • MES applications or data collection experience is welcome.
  • More than 5 years experience in manufacturing implementations and business consulting with top tier (> $1B revenue) global customers.
  • Minimum 5 years of consulting or 10 years of other professional experience.
  • Possess strong business process practice, both the body of knowledge and hands-on experience, with proven track records in leading and managing large project implementations.
  • Well versed in developing and/or improving the business process and systems.
  • Highly strategic decision making: problem analysis, systematic thinking.
  • Good knowledge in ERP software solutions, business acumen, consulting skills, customer management, good organization and task facilitator
  • Good in presentation and communication skills to be able to interact, guide, and convince customers about the best possible solution to be implemented.
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English.
  • Written documentation is clear, concise, and written to a level appropriate to the audience. Delivers presentations to smaller audiences.
  • Promptly notifies supervisors of potential issues or problems related to a project.
  • Good at time management for working on global projects with time zone differences.
  • Flexible to work as per customer timezone
  • Computer skills: Expert in MS Office and/or Google Suite
  • Operate under broad direction from clients or QAD supervisors to determine the tasks and steps necessary to accomplish the objective.
  • Work independently and require minimum support.
  • Provide direction and guidance to clients and consultants assigned to work on their particular area of expertise.
  • Actively participate in meetings and discussions, readily offer advice, suggestions and recommendations.
  • Proactively identify issues, risks, mitigation strategies, and establish forums with appropriate QAD and client personnel to resolve.

  • Work in a global consulting team delivering professional services to global clients.
  • Provide services remotely mainly, though limited traveling can be required especially during go-live support phases.
  • Perform activities required to enable the client to successfully implement and utilize QAD applications.
  • Determine detailed activities on a project by project basis including system configuration, training, business process design, testing, requirements gathering for extensions.
  • Responsible for Business Process Workbook and ensure timelines and schedules are met.
  • Work with and direct other resources to resolve issues as necessary.
  • Resolve complex issues requiring in-depth knowledge related to their subject matter expertise.
  • Lead activities in at least one application or subject area and provide direction to client and team members.
  • Frequent and regular communication with clients; establish solid working relationships at several levels.
  • Research and analyze problems, articulate issues, options, advantages and disadvantages and present resolutions.
  • Respond to client questions; follow up to obtain information in a timely manner.
  • Support end users during the lifecycle of implementation projects, especially critical phases (CRP, UAT, Go-Live); may be on site.
  • May provide direction to others in at least one application or subject area

Typically report to a project manager on larger projects, determine direction and solution design for components of the project. Work independently or lead other consultants on smaller projects. Usually work on their own on high added value customer activities

  • Implement mainly QAD ERP Manufacturing related modules but also other QAD solutions related to ERP like Production Execution or Automated Solutions (data collection automation)
  • Work in a global consulting team delivering professional services to global clients
  • Provide services, remotely mainly, though limited traveling can be required especially during certain critical implementation project phases (ex: go-live support)
