Job summary

Staples India Business Innovation Hub Private Limited is hiring a QA Automation Engineer to strengthen software quality across multiple application projects in Chennai. You will design and execute robust test plans, automate critical test cases using Selenium and Playwright, and collaborate with developers and product owners.

The role requires 3+ years of hands-on QA experience, strong scripting in Java and Python, and familiarity with API testing and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of QA experience with strong expertise in Selenium/Playwright automation and functional testing.
• Proficiency in Java and Python for automation scripting.
• Proficiency with API testing tools such as Postman, RestAssured, or Insomnia.
• Strong knowledge of test frameworks (TestNG, JUnit, PyTest).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Perform computer systems analysis to develop, maintain, and execute test plans for multiple application projects and improvement initiatives utilizing Quality Assurance methodologies
• Review, analyze, and apply business requirements and software designs to ensure effective test design
• Present QM viewpoint of processes under review and drive quality improvements
• Identify and Drive testing Efforts
• Plan & Execute QA tasks
• Create of Test Plans and Test Scripts
• Hands on with execution of Integration, Functional and End to End Test cases
• Post-Production Support and Issue analysis
