Huron Consulting Group Inc. is seeking a QA Test Engineer in India to help ensure software, hardware, applications, and services meet quality standards. You will develop test plans, execute tests, and automate regressions across browser and platform configurations within our Software Engineering team.

The QA Test Engineer reports to the Corporate IT Manager in India. This is a role in Huron’s Software Engineering team based in India and works with Software Development and Corporate IT resources based in India and the US. Under general direction, this individual is responsible for carrying out procedures to ensure that all software, hardware, applications and services meet the standards of the organization and end-user requirements, analyzing and testing software and application configuration to ensure that products meet design specifications and are within total quality management limits and standards. This individual is expected to participate actively in the entire software development life cycle (SDLC) including helping to develop quality standards, test cases, software/hardware and application testing, and documenting process and test outcomes. They are responsible for developing, modifying and executing test plans and suites, and communicating with product developers and technical support specialists on software issues. In addition, they are expected to perform tests to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects. They may create test data to ensure thorough evaluation, documents, and work to resolve basic problems and report progress on problem resolution to management. The QA Test Engineer applies company policies and procedures to address a variety of issues. They are also responsible for automating regression tests and ensuring the quality of the code.
