We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) to join our team specializing in the fabrication of satellites and payloads. You will leverage your expertise to enable state-of-the-art embedded hardware development with applications such as tracking objects from both space and the ground. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with a variety of manufacturing processes, a deep understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), and a proven track record in maintaining and enforcing industrial standards. This position involves regular interaction with external manufacturing vendors, developing and implementing quality standards, and ensuring strict compliance throughout the supply chain.

Ideal Candidate:
  • Hands‑on QA/QC experience in precision or high‑tolerance manufacturing environments, with strong familiarity in inspecting mechanical components and working with manufacturing vendors.
  • Strong technical inspection capability, including expertise in GD&T, engineering drawings, and mechanical inspection tools, along with understanding of machining, fabrication, or assembly processes.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve QC/QA processes for mechanical components used in various precision instruments for space‑based and ground‑based systems.
  • Conduct detailed inspections, audits and tests on fabricated parts to verify compliance with GD&T and other technical specifications.
  • Establish, document and communicate manufacturing standards, ensuring vendors understand and rigorously follow them.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of quality assurance activities, inspection outcomes, and vendor performance.
  • Regularly follow up with outsourced manufacturing partners to monitor progress, address non‑conformities, and ensure timely delivery of quality products along with the supply chain team.
  • Train internal and external stakeholders on quality requirements and best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Diploma, B.Tech/B.E, in Mechanical Engineering or any relevant branches.
  • Education in any field with proven proficiency in QC/QA.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in QC/QA, preferably, in high‑precision manufacturing or aerospace.
  • Expertise in GD&T; knowledge of ASME or ISO standards/certifications.
  • Familiarity with various manufacturing processes (machining, fabrication, assembly, etc.).
  • Proficiency in QC/QA software tools and mechanical inspection equipment (e.g., CMM, calipers, micrometers etc.).
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS), statistical process control (SPC), and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).
  • Working knowledge of CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) for reviewing and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Experience working in aerospace manufacturing industry supply chain teams.
  • Ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
