Job summary

PeopleStrong invites applications for a Quality Assurance/Quality Control role based at Kolkata sites. The selected candidate will liaise with Engineers and Customers on quality activities, oversee material QA/QC, and ensure conformity with specifications and Codes.

The position requires 5–13 years of relevant experience and a Diploma or B.Tech/B.E. Responsibilities include reviewing QA/QC procedures, coordinating with Project Managers, and guiding QC Engineers to implement site quality systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in QA/QC activities on a construction project.
• Ability to review QA/QC procedures and plans for adequacy.
• Liaise with engineers, customers and project managers on quality matters.
• Ensure implementation of Quality Management System at site.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with the Engineer/Customer on quality related activities of the project.
• Ensure the following through the project Materials function: Liaise for Approvals for concrete mix design, aggregate base course materials and granular sub base materials.
• Liaise for laboratory equipment's for verifying properties of materials complying with the requirements of Specifications.
• Interfaces with the Project Managers on day to day quality related activities.
• Ensure implementation of Quality Management System in the project through QC Engineers / discipline QC Inspectors.
• Review all QA/QC Procedures / QC Plans and Work Instructions for adequacy against scope of work and revise, where required.
• Ensure relevant Codes & Standards, Specifications are available at site for reference.
• Assist the construction personnel in the technical review and finalization of Method Statements prepared at site.
• Based on the feedback from QC Engineers develop project specific Procedures, Plans and Work Instructions, where required incorporate in the PQP and issue controlled copies of the same.
