Job summary

Leading Client is looking for an Automation Test Engineer to join our QA team in India. You will design, develop, and maintain end-to-end automation tests using Playwright, JavaScript, and Java to ensure scalable test coverage.

You will build and enhance frameworks with Selenium/TestNG or Cypress, debug failures, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable software at speed.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Playwright, Selenium or Cypress.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, Java or TypeScript for automation.
• Background in web services testing and API validation using Rest Assured.
• Experience in regression and performance testing and database basics (SQL/NoSQL).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end (E2E) automation tests.
• Build and enhance testing frameworks using Selenium (TestNG), Cypress, or Playwright.
• Identify and prioritize tests to maximize coverage of critical features.
• Debug and troubleshoot test failures, ensuring reliability of the suite.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end (E2E) automation tests using Playwright and JavaScript
• Build and enhance testing frameworks using Selenium (TestNG), Cypress, or similar tools
• Identify and prioritize test cases for automation to maximize coverage of critical functionalities
• Debug and troubleshoot test failures, ensuring reliability and stability of the automation suite
• Collaborate cross-functionally to influence and strengthen internal and external partnerships

Required Skills

• Strong hands‑on experience with Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress
• Proficiency in JavaScript, Java, or TypeScript
• Solid understanding of web services testing; familiarity with Rest Assured is a plus

• Database expertise: SQL and NoSQL (e.g., Oracle)
