• • Working Knowledge of L2 protocols (STP/MSTP/RSTP, 802.1q/ad/aq, 802.3ah, 802.1ag/Y.1731 Ethernet OAM/CFM)
• • Working Knowledge of Layer 3 Protocols – IPv4/IPv6, OSPFv2/v3, ISIS, BGP4, IGMP, PIMSM/SSM
• • Exposure to VxLAN, L2VPN (Pseudowire, VPLS), and L3VPN (BGP/MPLS VPN) technologies
• • Strong Knowledge of product verification methodologies and strategies
• • Experience in performance and throughput testing
• • Experience with test tools like Ixia, Smartbits, STC, and packet sniffers
• • Experience in scripting languages like Perl, Tcl, and Tk
• • Experience in test case management tools like qTest

Mandatory Skills

Must demonstrate proficiency in testing one or more of the following areas:

• • IPv4 and IPv6 routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, ISIS, VRRP, PIM, MPLS, RSVP, etc.
• • Security Testing, IPSEC, VPN, Firewall Testing
• • Kubernetes, Docker (note: spelling corrected), which will be added and have multiple positions
• • Layer 2 protocols such as Spanning Tree, Rapid Spanning Tree (RSTP) 802.1w, VLANs, LACP, VSRP, etc.
• • Experience performing platform qualification tests on new products
• • Good experience in Python or equivalent scripting language is an advantage
• • Ability to evaluate/develop new test tools and analyze third-party vendors and technologies
• • Strong Python programming and automation experience is required
• • Exposure to system test automation is highly desirable
