Job summary

Opstree Global is seeking a hands-on QA Lead with 10+ years of engineering experience to establish a comprehensive test automation strategy and modernize the test stack for enterprise web applications.

You will architect Playwright and Selenium frameworks, integrate automated testing into BuildPiper CI/CD workflows, and mentor a technical QA team to accelerate release velocity and reduce escaped defects.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software quality engineering experience with a proven track record in technical QA leadership.
• Deep hands-on expertise with Playwright and Selenium WebDriver, including designing frameworks from scratch (Page Object Model, data-driven execution).
• Strong programming capability in Java, TypeScript/JavaScript, or Python with expertise in design patterns and clean code principles.
• Hands-on experience with BuildPiper and CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps).
• Proficiency in REST API testing (REST Assured, Postman) and database validation using SQL.
• Working knowledge of Docker, containerized test environments, and parallel test execution.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute enterprise QA strategy, test automation frameworks, and release quality standards across multiple projects.
• Architect, build, and maintain scalable UI, API, regression, and end-to-end test suites using Playwright and Selenium.
• Lead the technical modernization and migration of existing Selenium suites to Playwright.
• Configure and optimize automated quality gates, containerized execution, and deployment workflows within BuildPiper and CI/CD pipelines.
• Establish release dashboards to monitor test execution, defect trends, and automation coverage.
• Mentor QA engineers through code reviews, framework design guidance, and automation best practices.
• Perform root-cause analysis on test and production incidents while collaborating with developers to ensure system testability early in the SDLC.
