Job summary

PURETECH CODEX in Mumbai is seeking a hands-on QA Lead to drive quality across Web, Mobile, and API/Backend testing.

With 8–12 years of experience and 4+ years in leadership, you will mentor a QA team, own test strategies, and collaborate with development to deliver robust software. The role emphasizes automation, manual testing, and strong data validation in fast-paced fintech-like domains.

Qualifications

• Hands-on QA lead with strong manual and automation testing experience.
• Expertise in web, mobile, and API/backend testing.
• Experience with Playwright/Selenium/Cypress for web automation.
• Appium and WebdriverIO for mobile automation.
• Proficient in API testing with Postman, Rest Assured or Karate.
• Strong SQL and data validation capabilities.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab).
• Familiar with Agile/Scrum, SDLC/STLC and defect management.
• Experience leading and mentoring QA teams; strong collaboration with developers.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end QA activities across web, mobile and backend.
• Define QA strategy, establish test plans, cases, and metrics.
• Mentor and manage QA team, review defects, and ensure on-time delivery.
• Coordinate with DevOps for CI/CD and test environment setup.
