We are seeking a highly technical QA Lead (Individual Contributor) with 8–10 years of hands‑on Quality Assurance experience, including deep expertise in test automation, API testing, and quality engineering. This is a senior technical role for someone who leads through technical excellence and ownership rather than just people management.
The ideal candidate will define test strategies, architect scalable automation solutions, and ensure comprehensive test coverage across UI, API, and end‑to‑end workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end‑to‑end quality strategy for one or more product areas.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, and end‑to‑end testing.
- Build and execute automated and manual test cases for new features and regression coverage.
- Perform hands‑on testing of complex workflows, integrations, and production issues.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, and DevOps teams to define acceptance criteria and quality requirements.
- Conduct root cause analysis and partner with engineering teams to resolve defects efficiently.
- Improve automation coverage, execution speed, and test reliability.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support release validation.
- Analyze quality metrics and provide recommendations to improve product stability.
- Mentor QA team members on technical best practices while remaining an active individual contributor.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8–10 years of experience in Quality Assurance with strong expertise in both manual and automated testing.
- Proven experience in a senior QA or QA Lead role as a hands‑on individual contributor.
- Strong experience with UI automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or equivalent frameworks.
- Extensive experience in API testing using Postman, SoapUI, or similar tools.
- Experience designing maintainable automation frameworks and reusable test utilities.
- Good knowledge of SQL and database validation.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions.
- Proficiency with Git.
- Experience with performance testing tools such as Apache JMeter.
- Familiarity with Docker.
- Experience working with healthcare applications and understanding HIPAA compliance requirements.
