Join to apply for the QA Engineer/ Senior QA Engineer-BI role at BOLD. BOLD seeks a QA professional to work directly with the BI Development team to validate Business Intelligence solutions. The QA engineer will build test strategy, test plans, test cases for ETL and BI components, validate SQL queries, and produce test summary reports.

About the Team

BOLD BI team is a centralized team responsible for managing BI strategy, projects and systems. They enable leaders to make data-driven decisions with reports and analysis. The team manages a latency‑free credible enterprise data warehouse, which is a data source for decision making and inputs to various functions such as Product, Finance, Marketing and Customer Support.

What You’ll Do

• Work with Business Analysts and BI Developers to translate business requirements into test cases.
• Validate data sources, extraction, transformation logic, and loading of data into target tables.
• Design, document, and execute test plans, test harness, test scenarios/scripts, and test cases for manual, automated, and bug tracking tools.

What You’ll Need

• Experience in Data Warehousing / BI Testing, using any ETL and Reporting Tool.
• Extensive experience writing and troubleshooting SQL queries in Snowflake, Redshift, SQL Server, or Oracle.
• Exposure to Dimensional Modelling concepts and understanding of ETL source‑to‑target mapping.
• Experience testing code on any ETL Tool and validating dashboards on Sisense, Tableau, SAP Business Objects, or MicroStrategy.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC, and experience with Waterfall, V‑Model, Agile, or Scrum test methodologies.
• Proficiency in writing detailed functional and non‑functional test cases.
• Experience with Black Box testing, Smoke testing, Functional testing, System Integration testing, End‑to‑End testing, Regression testing, UAT, Load testing, Performance testing, and Stress testing.
• Expertise in using TFS, JIRA, or Excel to write and track test cases.
• Exposure to scripting languages like Python for automated test scripts or tools such as Query Surge is an added advantage.
• Effective communicator with strong analytical abilities, capable of planning, implementing, and presenting projects.
