Job summary

Infrrd Inc. is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to blend hands-on manual testing with Playwright and TypeScript automation across Angular front-ends and backend services.

You will work with senior QA engineers, developers, and product managers to catch issues early and keep releases fast and safe, while expanding the automation framework and contributing to test strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or Information Technology.
• 2–5 years of software testing experience.
• Solid knowledge of manual testing, test design, and defect lifecycle.
• Hands-on automation testing with Playwright and TypeScript.
• A solid understanding of OOP concepts.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.

Responsibilities

About the Role

We're looking for a QA Automation Engineer to QA Engineer to help ensure the quality of the platform that powers our AI products.

You’ll combine hands-on manual testing with Playwright and TypeScript automation across our Angular applications and backend services. You’ll work closely with senior QA engineers, developers, and product managers to catch issues early and help keep releases fast and safe.

What You’ll Do

• Understand product requirements and user stories, and turn them into clear test scenarios and test cases.
• Run functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing on web applications and APIs.
• Write and maintain automated UI tests using Playwright with TypeScript for Angular applications.
• Help expand the automation framework by adding reusable, maintainable test components that follow OOP principles.
• Log, track, and verify defects with clear reproduction steps, and follow each one through to closure with the engineering team.
• Take part in sprint ceremonies and give input on acceptance criteria and testability.
• Run automation suites in CI pipelines, look into failures, and report results.
• Keep test documentation, test data, and coverage up to date.

What You’ll Bring

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or Information Technology from a reputed university
• 2–5 years of experience in software testing.
• Solid knowledge of and hands-on exposure to manual testing: test case design, defect lifecycle, and functional and regression testing.
• Working knowledge of automation testing with Playwright and TypeScript.
• A good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
• Strong aptitude and a “trouble the trouble” attitude: you dig into problems until you find the root cause.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• A strong ability and willingness to learn, explore, and master new and emerging technologies.

Nice to Have

• A software testing course or certification (e.g., ISTQB).
• Exposure to API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
• A basic understanding of MongoDB or SQL for validating data.
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI).
• Exposure to AI-assisted development and testing tools like Claude Code.
