Job summary

DexCare, Inc. is seeking a Lead Software Developer in Test to understand customer usage, extend automation frameworks, and validate test cases. The role focuses on creating test plans, executing strategies, and breaking software to ensure quality.

You will drive test-driven development across platforms, improve testing scale, and work with engineers to prioritize issues and measure product performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of QA strategy and/or equivalent experience.
• Experience debugging applications on platforms, APIs, and data infrastructure components.
• Experience partnering across multiple teams.
• Strong knowledge of Python, Java, C/C++ or equivalent languages.

About the Role

DexCare is looking for a lead software developer in Test. In this role, you’ll focus on understanding how our customers use the platform and be dedicated to extending and contributing to the automation framework, as well as creating, maintaining, and executing automated test case validation for existing and new scenarios. You should have a keen eye and the ability to contribute by creating test plans and test cases, and to execute approaches to break and validate software.

What You’ll Do

• Build a test-driven/user-centric engineering environment that drives improvements in quality
• Implement process changes to scale testing efforts across multiple products
• Plan, develop, and execute test efforts for multiple platforms
• Identify, test, track, and report KPI trends over the course of projects
• Diagnose issues, report defects, and propose regression/A/B tests to discover reoccurrences
• Work with engineers and project leads to triage and prioritize issues for resolution
• Own the process of creating metrics to measure and monitor product performance
• Partner with Automation and Infrastructure teams to leverage automation for better reliability and scalability

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience debugging applications on platforms, APIs, PCs, and data infrastructure components
• 6+ years of driving Quality Assurance (QA) strategy and/or equivalent experience
• Experience partnering and/or collaborating across multiple teams
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or relevant technical field, and/or equivalent practical experience
• Understanding of coding in Python, PHP, Java, C/C++ or equivalent language

Preferred Experience

• Experience building, shipping, and maintaining enterprise software on top of consumer electronic devices
• Experience in quality assurance within the healthcare domain
• Experience establishing and maintaining quality processes such as test plans, defect triage workflows, and release readiness criteria that measurably improved product quality
• Experience in managing black box and white box testing
