Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent.
• Proven work experience in software quality assurance.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools and processes.
• Familiarity with test management tools like Zephyr, TestRail.
• Experience with API testing using Postman or RestAssured.
• Experience with automated testing using Selenium is a plus.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development process.
• Knowledge of performance or security testing is a plus.

We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) engineer who can closely work with the development team to deliver quality products to our clients. You will need to ensure that the product meets the quality standards with each release.

Responsibilities:

• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Closely coordinate with the client and internal development team to deliver quality product
• Independently communicate with client during grooming, planning, retrospective and other scrum meetings
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
• Identify, record, document and track bugs thoroughly
• Perform Sanity, Smoke, Regression testing within the sprint.
• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
• Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
• Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
• Stay up-to-date with latest testing tools, technologies and trends

Requirements:

• Should possess bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent
• Proven work experience in software quality assurance
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
• Good knowledge in Atlassian Jira for project management and bug tracking
• Good knowledge of test management tools like Zephyr, TestRail etc.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and debugging skills
• Good knowledge of different testing types, techniques and various testing levels
• Experience in testing Web applications as well as API
• Strong knowledge on tools like Postman OR RestAssured for API testing
• Good to have basic knowledge in automation testing using any of the tool, preferable Selenium
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
• Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
