Job summary

PlaySimple Games in Bengaluru is seeking a QA Engineer to design and execute test scenarios for backend services, APIs, data pipelines, databases, and frontend applications.

You will validate data correctness and transformations across systems, build and maintain automated regression suites, investigate issues using SQL, logs, and monitoring tools, and collaborate closely with developers, data engineers, Product, and other stakeholders to improve quality and release readiness.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of software testing fundamentals, test planning, test case design, regression testing, defect management, and RCA.
• Hands-on API testing including REST APIs, authentication, validation, error handling, and integrations.
• Good SQL skills for data validation, reconciliation, and issue investigation.
• Experience in backend and integration testing, including services, logs, and system-to-system flows.
• Experience with data validation, including schema validation and data-quality checks.
• Hands-on experience with test automation and maintaining automated test suites.
• Ability to validate end-to-end workflows across APIs, databases, backend services, and UI.
• Experience using logs and debugging information to identify issues.
• Good communication, ownership, and collaboration skills.
