Job summary

Playsimple Games Private Limited in Bengaluru, India, is seeking an experienced QA engineer to help scale our growing mobile gaming platform. Since 2014 we’ve built a global portfolio of casual games and a robust analytics stack to support rapid releases.

You will design and execute test scenarios for backend services, APIs, data pipelines, databases, and frontend apps; validate data across systems; and build automated regression for critical workflows.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of testing fundamentals, planning, design, regression, defect management and RCA.
• Hands-on API testing for REST APIs, auth, request/response validation and error handling.
• Good SQL skills for data validation, reconciliation, investigation.
• Experience in backend and integration testing across services and flows.
• Data validation including schema checks and source-to-target reconciliation.
• Hands-on test automation and maintaining automated suites.
• Ability to validate end-to-end workflows across APIs, databases, backend and UI.
• Using logs and debugging info to identify and troubleshoot issues.
• Good communication, ownership and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automated regression coverage for critical workflows.

• Independently own QA for assigned modules and support release sign-off.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of software testing fundamentals, test planning, test case design, regression testing, defect management, and RCA.
• Hands‑on experience with API testing, including REST APIs, authentication, request/response validation, error handling, and integrations.
• Good SQL skills for data validation, reconciliation, and issue investigation.
• Experience in backend and integration testing, including services, logs, and system-to-system flows.
