Job summary

IDEMIA Public Security is seeking a detail-oriented Software Test Engineer with 1-3 years of experience in manual and automated testing to ensure quality, reliability, and performance of software applications. You will design test strategies, develop automation scripts, and collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality releases.

• 1-3 years of experience in Manual Testing and Test Case Design techniques.
• Hands-on automation experience with Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of API testing using Postman, SoapUI, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business and functional requirements and prepare test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
• Execute functional, integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing.
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web and API-based applications.
• Identify, log, track, and verify defects using defect management tools.
• Participate in sprint planning, requirement reviews, and daily Agile ceremonies.
• Validate REST/SOAP APIs using tools such as Postman or Swagger.
• Perform database validation using SQL queries.
• Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve defects.
• Ensure test coverage, quality metrics, and timely delivery of releases.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and best practices.

Purpose

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Software Test Engineer with 1-3 years of experience in Manual and Automation Testing. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications by designing, executing, and maintaining comprehensive test strategies and test automation frameworks. The role requires close collaboration with developers, business analysts, product owners, and project stakeholders.

• Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).


• 1-3 years of experience in Manual Testing and Test Case Design techniques.


• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent.


• Knowledge of API testing using Postman, SoapUI, or similar tools.


• Good understanding of SQL and database testing.


• Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Quality Center.


• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git, Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
