The role requires 3–5 years of QA experience, Selenium expertise, and hands-on API testing, with a strong emphasis on automated and manual validation across web apps, APIs, and document outputs.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional QA and software testing experience in a modern production environment.
• Practical experience testing automated document generation (MS Word) and validating XML/OpenXML structures.
• Strong automation testing experience and hands‑on Selenium expertise.
• Solid API testing experience with RESTful APIs using Postman or similar tools.
• Analytical, structured problem-solving with ability to craft prompts for AI‑driven test generation.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI-assisted test automation for UI and end‑to‑end tests.
• Design and execute tests for MS Word document generation, validating XML data binding and formatting.
• Validate backend logic and APIs via Postman with AI-driven payloads and validation scripts.
• Generate comprehensive test cases from product requirements using AI analysis.
• Document and reproduce bugs with detailed steps and logs for the engineering team.

AI-Assisted QA Engineer / Software Tester

Role Overview

We are seeking a forward-thinking QA Engineer to pioneer our AI-driven software testing efforts, with a specialized focus on testing complex document generation pipelines. In this role, you will move beyond traditional manual testing by integrating AI coding agents into your daily workflow to accelerate test planning and automation. You will act as the final line of defense for our product quality, utilizing next-generation tools to ensure our web applications, APIs, and automated MS Word document outputs are bug-free, highly accurate, and performant.

Key Responsibilities

• AI-Assisted Test Automation: Leverage AI developer tools (such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or ChatGPT) to rapidly write, refactor, and maintain robust automated UI and end-to-end tests
• Document Generation QA: Design and execute automated and manual tests for our complex MS Word document generation engine. Validate XML data binding, dynamic formatting, and structural integrity of generated .docx files.
• API & Integration Testing: Validate backend logic, data integrity, and microservices using Postman, employing AI to generate complex API request payloads and automated validation scripts.
• Smart Test Planning: Utilize AI to analyze product requirements and automatically generate comprehensive test cases, identify hidden edge cases, and create realistic mock data.
• Bug Tracking & Triage: Identify, document, and track bugs using issue tracking systems (e.g., Jira), providing highly detailed replication steps and logs for the engineering team.
• Agile Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with AI-assisted software engineers to reproduce issues, verify fixes, and ensure complex document processing features meet strict quality standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: 3 to 5 years of professional QA and software testing experience in a modern production environment.
• Document Testing Knowledge: Practical experience testing automated document generation (specifically MS Word). Familiarity with reading or validating XML structures and OpenXML/.docx file formatting. AI Tool Proficiency for QA: Proven, daily experience using AI assistants specifically for testing workflows (e.g., crafting precise prompts to generate automation scripts or mock data).
• Test Automation Expertise: Strong hands‑on experience building and maintaining automated testing frameworks, with a strong preference for Selenium experience.
• API Testing: Solid, practical experience testing RESTful APIs and reading JSON/XML data structures using Postman or similar tools.
• Systematic Problem‑Solving: A "break‑it" mentality combined with the analytical ability to break down complex features into targeted prompts for AI test generation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
• Familiarity with document generation libraries such as Aspose or OpenXML SDK.
• Experience testing AI-driven or machine-learning-based software applications.

Note:-

This is a 6-month contractual role on vendor payroll for a critical project, with an immediate joining requirement. The contract may be extended based on project needs.
