Job summary

NTT DATA North America is seeking a QA Engineer to join our team in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test cases for migrated data pipelines, jobs, transformations, and integration flows.
• Support automated test execution where applicable and provide reporting on validation outcomes, defects, and test completion status.
• Validate migrated workloads against agreed functional, data reconciliation, and deployment verification criteria.
• Capture and maintain test evidence, defect logs, issue status, and sign-off documentation required for sprint and release of governance.
• Coordinate with Data Engineers to reproduce, triage, and retest defects during SIT, QA, PROD readiness, and hyper-care phases.
• Support runtime comparison evidence collection while noting that performance tuning or performance fixing is outside scope unless separately approved.
• Contribute to final validation reports, operational handoff evidence, and quality-related knowledge of transition materials.

Role Overview

The QA Analyst / Data Validation Specialist will manage quality assurance and validation execution for migrated Snowflake workloads on Databricks. This role will prepare and execute test cases, validate source‑to‑target parity, capture evidence, track defects, support reconciliation, and provide quality status reporting for SIT, QA, PROD readiness, and hyper‑care phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test cases for migrated data pipelines, jobs, transformations, and integration flows.
• Support automated test execution where applicable and provide reporting on validation outcomes, defects, and test completion status.
• Validate migrated workloads against agreed functional, data reconciliation, and deployment verification criteria.
• Capture and maintain test evidence, defect logs, issue status, and sign‑off documentation required for sprint and release of governance.
• Coordinate with Data Engineers and Senior Data Engineers to reproduce, triage, and retest defects during SIT, QA, PROD readiness, and hyper‑care phases.
• Support runtime comparison evidence collection while noting that performance tuning or performance fixing is outside scope unless separately approved.
• Contribute to final validation reports, operational handoff evidence, and quality‑related knowledge of transition materials.

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience in data migration testing, SQL‑based validation, reconciliation testing, ETL/ELT testing, data quality checks, defect management, test evidence documentation, automated testing concepts, and quality reporting.
• Familiarity with Snowflake and Databricks environments, source‑to‑target comparison, row‑count validation, aggregate checks, schema validation, and release sign‑off processes is preferred.
