Responsibilities

• Execute migration tasks under guidance of the Senior Data Engineer and Databricks Solution Architect.
• Support conversion, implementation, unit testing, data validation, and deployment preparation for migrated Snowflake workloads on Databricks.
• Prepare technical documentation, test evidence, reconciliation notes, and transition artifacts for assigned workloads.
• Collaborate with QA Analysts and the Databricks Architect to resolve conversion and validation issues.

We are currently seeking a Databricks Engineer to join our team in Bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

Role Summary

The Data Engineer / Databricks Migration Developer will execute assigned migration tasks under the guidance of the Senior Data Engineer and Databricks Solution Architect. The role will support conversion, implementation, unit testing, data validation, defect fixing, deployment preparation, and technical documentation for migrated Snowflake workloads on Databricks.

• Support conversion and implementation of assigned data pipelines, jobs, scripts, and workload components in Databricks.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and parity checks between Snowflake and Databricks outputs.
• Execute unit-level and integration-level testing for migrated jobs, transformations, and data flows.
• Investigate data mismatches, execution failures, dependency issues, and functional defects identified during validation cycles.
• Support deployment activities across SIT, QA, and PROD environments under the approved release and change window process.
• Work with Senior Data Engineers, QA Analysts, and the Databricks Architect to resolve conversion and validation issues.
• Prepare technical documentation, test evidence, reconciliation notes, and transition artifacts for assigned workloads.

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience with SQL, Python, Databricks, Snowflake, Delta Lake, data pipeline development, job monitoring, data validation, reconciliation, Git, unit testing, defect triage, and cloud data engineering delivery.
• Ability to follow migration standards, document results, and collaborate with QA, architecture, and release teams in a structured delivery environment.
