Job summary

IQVIA in Bengaluru, India, is seeking a QA tester to execute and verify software application tests under broad guidance, with focus on manual testing across functional, regression, integration, and UAT. Strong understanding of STLC/SDLC is expected.

You will write and execute test cases, track defects in JIRA/Azure DevOps, participate in Agile ceremonies, and collaborate with developers and product owners to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Job Overview
Under broad guidance, executes and verifies software application tests.

Core QA Skills

• Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and SDLC
• Experience in manual testing including functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing
• Ability to write and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test plans
• Defect tracking and reporting using tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar
• Good understanding of test data preparation and validation techniques

Automation Testing Skills (Nice to Have)

• Experience with automation tools such as:
  • Selenium WebDriver / Cypress / Playwright
• Programming knowledge in:
  • Java / Python / JavaScript
• Development and maintenance of automation test scripts and frameworks
• Knowledge of BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines)
• Experience with version control systems (Git)

Agile Methodology Experience

• Hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
• Participation in:
  • Sprint planning
  • Daily standups
  • Sprint reviews & retrospectives
• Understanding of user stories, acceptance criteria, and Definition of Done
• Ability to perform continuous testing within sprints

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills

• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
• Ability to identify edge cases and potential risks
• Root cause analysis of defects and issues

Communication & Collaboration

• Effective communication with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders
• Ability to clearly document and explain defects

Additional Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with API testing (Postman / Rest Assured)
