Job summary

VizExperts India Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Test Engineer responsible for planning and executing software testing. The Test Engineer will work closely with the Engineering Team to ensure the highest quality standards are maintained. Candidates should have a background in software testing, with relevant qualifications such as BE or MCA and 0-2 years of experience.

This role requires good communication skills in English, experience in both web-based and desktop applications, and the ability to travel for onsite testing as needed.

Job Description

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the role is to provide services relating to testing software. The Test Engineer is responsible for planning and executing test plans in the most efficient and effective manner, meeting the highest quality standards set forth by VizExperts. The Test Engineer is responsible for communicating the software/hardware issues with the Engineering Team.

The Test Engineer will be accountable to the Engineering Manager with secondary accountability to other management team members, employees and customers of the company.

Travel

Traveling will be required which involves onsite testing, deployment or demo.

Responsibilities / Duties

• White-box and Black-box testing
• Writing test cases as per requirement
• Building and managing testing environment
• Understanding of testing software/hardware
• Software testing planning
• Executing test plan
• Reporting issues
• Automating testing environment
• Upgrade Software & Hardware as needed
• Upgrade documents as required

Qualifications

• Knowledge: BE, BTech, MTech, MSc, MCA
• Experience: 0-2 years
• Verbal communication: Good, Precise and clear
• Written communication: Proficient in English for software documentation
• Software expertise: Experience or knowledge in Windows/Linux OS
• Experience in testing web-based and/or desktop application
• Experience in web-based or desktop-based automation tools
• Experience in writing Test cases and test execution
• Experience working on Bug reporting tool, Test management tool
• Concepts: Basic C/C++, Operating Systems
• Software testing principles and concepts
