Job summary

Verisk Insurance Solutions seeks a QA Business Analyst to join the Underwriting Products team, supporting ERC content through testing and QA activities.

You will work with product managers and IT to enable customer success, develop testing strategies, and ensure high-quality releases for ERC features.

Qualifications

• BS/BA or equivalent required with 2+ years in validation, functional testing and business analysis.
• Detail-oriented QA professional with analytical thinking and problem-solving.
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, vlookups, and data analysis for test data.
• Experience creating test cases and test scenarios; familiarity with API testing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Retain deep knowledge of Verisk Rating and ERC Rating offerings.
• Develop and implement testing strategies, plans, and procedures for ERC updates.
• Identify, report, and track defects through resolution with the development team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver quality features efficiently.
• Troubleshoot issues and propose process improvements for ERC product.
• Provide production support for ERC inquiries and issues.
• Work independently and within a team to meet performance goals.
• Align with management on performance metrics and annual plans.

Job Description

The ISO Underwriting unit of Verisk Insurance Solutions is hiring a QA Business Analyst as part of the team developing and supporting ISO's Electronic Rating Content (ERC) product. As a QA Business Analyst at Verisk, you will be part of our Underwriting Products team, working closely with product managers and IT to enable success for our customers and drive the ERC product forward

Responsibilities

• Ability to retain in depth knowledge of Verisk Rating and ERC Rating offerings
• Developing and implementing testing strategies, plans, and procedures for insurance manual updates for supported lines within ERC
• Identifying and reporting defects and issues to the development team and tracking them through to resolution.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that help deliver quality features with efficiency.
• Knowledge of API technology and API requests
• Troubleshoot issues and solve problems, identify potential process improvement
• Production support for answering questions around ERC product offering
• Ability to work independently and within Team environment
• Work with management to develop performance basis measurements and complete all defined responsibilities
• Completes all responsibilities as outlined on annual Performance Plan.

Qualifications

• BS/BA or equivalent with 2+ years of experience in Validation, functional testing and Business analysis.
• Detail-oriented and solutions-driven QA professional with a mix of technical skills and strategic thinking.
• Strong knowledge of Excel, using its advanced functions (e.g., pivot tables, vlookups, data analysis) to organize, analyze, and visualize test data efficiently.
• Experience in creating test cases and test scenarios.
• Technical skills which include competency with development environments and insurance software products would be a plus.
• Excel in defect management by triaging, prioritizing, and collaborating with developers for timely issue resolution.
• Commercial lines admitted business experience
• Highly motivated self-starter, with strong analytical, inter-personal and leadership skills
• Polished communication, presentation, and leaderships qualities
