Job summary

Whiteblue Cloud Services in Chennai is seeking a talented automation engineer to design, develop, and implement robust test automation frameworks from scratch for web UI and API testing.

You will build scalable automation architecture using Playwright and Rest Assured, create automated scripts for comprehensive test coverage, and integrate the suites with CI/CD to enable faster, reliable delivery. Collaborate with developers and QA to embed automation into the software lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement robust test automation frameworks from scratch for web UI and API testing.
• Build scalable, reusable, and maintainable automation architecture using tools such as Playwright, Rest Assured, and other relevant automation utilities aligned to project needs
• Develop automated test scripts for functional, regression, integration, smoke, and end-to-end test coverage.
• Leverage AI-assisted capabilities in automation engineering for test case generation, script acceleration, maintenance optimization, intelligent defect analysis, and productivity improvement.
• Evaluate and apply the right automation tools, libraries, and framework design patterns based on application architecture and testing scope.
• Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines to enable faster and reliable continuous testing, building on the roles stated CI/CD exposure requirement.
• Work closely with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to embed automation into the software delivery lifecycle.
