Job summary

Bounteous is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Claude Code or equivalent AI tools, and to lead manual and exploratory testing for complex features.

You will partner with engineering to embed AI-assisted testing into CI/CD pipelines, triage bugs, mentor juniors, and track quality metrics to ensure release readiness while staying current with AI testing trends.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Claude Code or equivalent AI coding assistant for test generation/automation.
• Strong proficiency in test automation frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CircleCI).
• SQL knowledge, API testing (Postman/REST), and scripting (Python/JavaScript).
• Excellent analysis and cross-functional communication with engineering and product teams.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites, leveraging Claude Code or equivalent AI tools to accelerate test script creation and maintenance
• Lead manual and exploratory testing efforts for complex features, ensuring comprehensive coverage across functional, regression, and edge-case scenarios
• Partner with engineering to integrate AI-assisted testing workflows (Claude Code or equivalent) into CI/CD pipelines for faster, more reliable releases
• Review and triage bugs, working closely with developers to reproduce, document, and validate fixes
• Mentor junior QA analysts on best practices for test automation and AI-assisted QA tooling
• Define and track quality metrics (defect density, test coverage, escape rate) and report on release readiness
• Evaluate and prototype new AI-driven testing tools/approaches to continuously improve QA efficiency
• Stay current with the rapidly evolving generative AI landscape

Required Skills & Experience

• Hands-on experience with Claude Code or an equivalent AI coding assistant (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) for test generation, debugging, or automation
• Strong proficiency in test automation frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar)
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CircleCI)
• Solid understanding of SQL, API testing (Postman/REST), and scripting (Python or JavaScript)
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, with ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and product teams
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Nice to Have

• Certified Claude Architect Foundations (CCA-F)
