Job summary

Nexbuzz is seeking an AI-first JavaScript Automation Test Engineer to accelerate test development using Cursor, Claude Code, and AI-assisted coding. You will harness Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript to build scalable automation frameworks, automate UI and API tests, and drive test strategy with AI-enabled insights.

You will collaborate with product, developers, and DevOps to ensure high quality releases, maintain robust test data, and optimize test execution across browser engines.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• AI-Augmented Test Automation: use Cursor IDE and Claude Code for test generation and debugging.
• Test Automation Development: build and maintain Playwright-based UI automation frameworks.
• API Testing: create and execute API tests using Playwright API tests, Supertest, Axios, Postman/Newman.
• Test Strategy & Quality: design test plans, ensure coverage across critical flows, log detailed bug reports.
• CI/CD & DevOps Integration: integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines and maintain reports.
• Collaboration: work with developers, product, and DevOps across the org to champion AI-first testing practices.

Role Overview

We are looking for an AI-first JavaScript Automation Test Engineerwho leverages AI-powered development tools as a core part of their workflow. This is not a traditional QA role—we want someone who uses Cursor, Claude Code, and AI-assisted codingto dramatically accelerate test development, framework design, and debugging.

The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and Playwrightwith the ability to use AI tools to write better tests faster, generate test data intelligently, and maintain high-quality automation suites with less manual effort. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to ensure high product quality and reliable releases.

Key Responsibilities

AI-Augmented Test Automation

• Cursor IDE and Claude Code Use

• Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning and retrospectives

Required Skills
