Job summary

Birlasoft is seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer specializing in Playwright with Python to join our Bengaluru team. You will design, develop, and maintain automation suites, implement page object models, and ensure robust test coverage with modern QA practices.

You will collaborate with SMEs, manage defects, and continuously improve automation efficiency. 7-8 years of hands-on automation testing experience are required for this role.

Qualifications

• 7-8 years of automation testing experience with basic manual testing skills.
• Independently prepare, execute and maintain test cases.
• Follow QA standards, testing best practices and quality processes.
• Hands-on experience with Test Management tools such as Spira.
• Strong defect management and triage experience.
• Hands-on Playwright design, development and execution using Python.
• Ability to debug and troubleshoot Playwright issues independently.
• Work proactively on Playwright automation and update SMEs as needed.
• Take ownership of testing activities and deliverables.
• Quick learner with strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation testing efforts for Playwright-based projects.
• Develop and maintain Playwright scripts and test suites.
• Collaborate with SMEs and ensure timely updates on progress.

Mandatory Playwright Skills

• Strong knowledge of Playwright locators, waits, assertions, and debugging techniques.
• Experience with fixtures, hooks, reusable components, and test data management.
