Job summary

Ashika Stock Broking Ltd. in Mumbai (Andheri) is seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer with 3 to 7 years of hands-on testing expertise to join our financial services team.

The role focuses on automated testing of web and API-based trading applications. You will design and implement automated tests, develop robust scripts using Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress, and collaborate with developers and product teams to ensure high quality across trading platforms and back-end integrations.

Qualifications

• 3 to 7 years of QA/Automation experience in software testing.
• Exposure to broking/financial services domain preferred.
• Experience with web/mobile automation tools.
• Strong English communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and application-based systems.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
• Automate repetitive and critical test scenarios to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
• Conduct API testing and validate request/response data, business logic, and integrations.
• Test trading and broking applications, including order placement, modification, cancellation, and trade execution.
• Validate integration between trading applications and backend systems.
• Work closely with Developers, BAs, Product Teams, and other QA members to understand requirements and identify issues.
• Prepare detailed test cases, test scenarios, data, and automation scripts.
• Identify, document, track, and retest defects using defect management tools.
• Perform smoke, sanity, regression, and release testing.
• Analyze test failures and determine root cause (application, automation, data, or environment).
• Participate in requirement reviews and provide quality inputs.
• Maintain automation frameworks and improve test coverage.
• Ensure applications meet functional, performance, reliability, and usability standards.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer with 3 to 7 years of hands‑on experience in software testing and automation preferably within the broking, capital markets, stock market, or financial services domain. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in test automation, functional testing, API testing, regression testing, and end‑to‑end testing of web‑based applications. Candidates with exposure to trading platforms, order management systems, market data applications, back‑office systems, or broking applications will be preferred.

Role Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and application‑based systems
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end‑to‑end testing.
• Automate repetitive and critical test scenarios to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
• Conduct API testing and validate request/response data, business logic, and integrations.
• Test trading and broking applications, including order placement, order modification/cancellation, trade execution, portfolio, holdings, positions, margins, and related workflows.
• Validate integration between trading applications and backend systems.
• Work closely with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Teams, and other QA members to understand requirements and identify potential issues.
• Prepare detailed test cases, test scenarios, test data, and automation scripts.
• Identify, document, track, and retest defects using defect management tools.
• Perform smoke, sanity, regression, and release testing.
• Analyze test failures and identify whether issues are related to the application, automation scripts, data, or environment.
• Participate in requirement reviews and provide inputs from a quality and testability perspective.
• Maintain automation frameworks and continuously improve test coverage.
• Ensure applications meet expected functional, performance, reliability, and usability standards.

Role Requirements

• 3 to 7 years of experience in Software QA / Test Automation.
• Strong knowledge of Capital Market & Digital Broking Business.
• Strong hands‑on experience with any major automation framework/tool such as: Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, where applicable.
• Strong programming/scripting knowledge in Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.
• Good experience in API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of SQL and database validation.
• Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, defect lifecycle, and agile methodologies.
• Experience in designing and maintaining automation frameworks.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
